CMSC Announces a Virtual Summer Celebration on August 3rd

The program will include video presentations of the Platform Abstracts covering the latest MS research as well as a CMSC Business Meeting with the winners of the International Journal of MS named.

The Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) is excited to announce a Virtual Summer Celebration on August 3rd to commemorate the successful conclusion of its virtual Annual Meeting. The program, open to all healthcare professionals involved in MS care, will include on demand platform presentations, downloadable posters of CMSC Annual Meeting abstracts, and live Q&As with the authors.

In addition, the Virtual Summer Celebration will include the CMSC annual Business Meeting recognizing newly elected officers and the 2020 award winners.

The International Organization of Multiple Sclerosis Nurses (IOMSN) will also present the Nightingale Award Winners from across the country. This new award, in honor of the first International Year of the Nurse and Midwife, recognizes significant accomplishments in MS nursing.

The key elements of the CMSC Virtual Summer Celebration include:

  • Video presentations of the Platform Abstracts covering the latest MS scientific research on disease assessment and management; disease modifying therapies; psychosocial: cognition; and rehabilitation. The video presentations will be available starting at 12:00 pm EDT on August 3rd and the “live” Q&A with the authors will take place at 7:00 pm EDT.
  • The CMSC Annual Meeting Posters will be available for download starting at 12:00 pm EDT on August 3rd. The Posters cover a wide range of topics including complementary and alternative therapies; epidemiology and genetics; quality of life outcomes, self-care and late-breaking abstracts. Several of the poster authors will be participating in the “live” Q&A at 7:00 pm EDT.
  • The CMSC Business Meeting at 6:00 pm EDT will include remarks from the incoming and outgoing Presidents of both the CMSC and IOMSN. In addition the winners of the International Journal of MS Care editorial awards will be announced and the IOMSN will introduce the 10 recipients of the Nightingale Award for outstanding MS nursing care.
