An Editor in Chief for Neurology Times

A MESSAGE FROM THE EDITORby Natalie Timoshin, Executive Editor

On behalf of the editorial staff, I am very pleased to welcome Heidi Moawad, MD as the first ever Editor in Chief of Neurology Times, beginning February 1, 2019.

Dr Moawad is a neurologist and Clinical Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University and John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH, where she teaches undergraduate and medical students. She is also a medical writer and content editor and has been writing about medical issues and health care careers for over 10 years. She is the author of Careers Beyond Clinical Medicine.

Dr Moawad graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed her neurology residency at The University of Chicago. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids. She also enjoys decorating and yoga.

As Editor in Chief, Dr Moawad will be heading a group of distinguished neurologists who serve as mentors for the editorial staff and who offer us ideas about topics we should consider covering. She has been a contributing author since the start of Neurology Times; we now look forward to working with her in her new role.
